Burst Pipes

Turns out that the genius who installed the water line to our refrigerator took a shortcut by connecting it to our swap cooler line so the pipe burst from the cold weather that we have been having lately and flooded our home. Thank goodness for Home Owner Insurance!!!

Vandalized >=(

5/11
Thank you vandal that destroyed our fence! Anyone know how to best fix this without replacing it? (picture coming tomorrow, so come back)

5/12
Ok so I got home last night and went to take the picture of the broken fence and  found this...

Broken fence part was completely missing!  I have to admit I am rather creeped out while trying to think about how it broke and then disappeared. What the heck goes on at my new home when I am sleeping or not even there? Despite my discomfort about the situation I am very appreciative that someone is actually cleaning up after themselves! In an effort to figure out the strange happenings I decided to walk to the mailbox to see if I could find anything. My labor was fruitless, maybe I'll do some more investigating tonight...

5/13
I FOUND IT...

On the other side of our fence which means our wonderful neighbors are the culprit. We have chatted with them a couple times since we moved in and they are really kind and giving people so I can't imagine this being a vandalistic act anymore. Accidents happen and they decided to take care of it in their own way but it still would be nice if they would tell us. Maybe I'm crazy in wanting to take ownership but I like our old antique looking fence and was hoping to salvage it and not replace because the woods would no longer match. I'll let ya know what ends up happening =D

5/15
Spoke to the neighbors and they had no idea what happened to the fence either, apparently it fell over onto their side while we were at work and he doesn't during the day so he cut it out. We told them how awesome they are, made plans to buy wood together and build it back up together. Man we are blessed with great neighbors!

Dining Room Demolition

It starts...
 (Before)

(Step 1)

 (Step 2)

(Step 3)

(Step 4)

The inconsiderate people that installed the paneling not only nailed it up but glued it as well and now we are left with spending a lot more $ and taking a lot more time to fix the walls. Lets see what miracles Jaron can pull off with sanding and mudding to try and get them as smooth as possible so that maybe we do not have to texture the them considering how big of a pain in the butt they are to clean. Can't wait for the beautiful wood floors Jer is going to put in too. Man he is SO good at these home improvement things I am one lucky wife!!!
